Recently Dr. Raymond Ferri and Dr. Patrick Lawrence of Family & Cosmetic Dentistry went to Virginia to receive recognition for The National Committee For Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. The National Guard recognizes Dr. Ferri and Dr. Lawrence as a Patriotic Employer for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force. Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) states, “It is important for employers to support the Guard and Reserve because almost half of our military force resides in the Reserve Component which is comprised of the National Guard and Reserve. The men and women who serve in the Reserve Component are unique in the way that they also have civilian employers and the employees they share with the nation ensures the viability of the all volunteer-force, and thus our national security.” ESGR is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees. They recognize outstanding support, increase awareness of the law, and resolve conflicts through mediation.
Theresa D. is one of our dental hygienists and is in the National Guard. Theresa has been employed at Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for over 6 years. She is in the 203rd Red Horse Squadron for the National Guard. Not only are we proud to help with the National Guard but also very proud to have Theresa as one of our dental hygienists. She is an integral part of our team. Theresa is now on active duty in Afghanistan and will return to our office to resume her duties as a dental hygienist in December. She is greatly missed and we anxiously anticipate her return.
